This process is handled by a second independent operator. The system will compare each keystroke keyed by the second operator with the keystroke entered by the first operator and flag the differences, which will in turn generate an audible alarm so that the operator verifying the data can make appropriate corrections.

To prevent errors, field validations can be incorporated when designing a data program for a client. These validations include table lookups, data-type restrictions, formulas, check digits, zip code lookups, and customer specific lookups.
